Has anyone heard about the new craze sweeping through Universities, Muggle Quidditch. It started out in American Universities and now it has come to England, and the Uni of Nottingham has set up a Quidditch Society. They have had 2 practices so far, and even featured in the local news (a slow news week apparently! I have signed up, but couldn't make either of the practices yet. I can' wait to have a go on Wednesday! We had a social on Thursday, in fancy dress of course!

What do you guys think? Does it look fun? Would you have a go if there was a group near you who would play?

I always thought that Quidditch would be an awesome game.

However, if I'm ever going to play it for real here's what I'd like to see:

- Indoor sport. Otherwise stuff will fall out of play waaaaay too often.

- No brooms. Seriously, they don't fly, you look like a gimp.

- Cricket balls hanging from the roof with the beaters allowed to hit them into oncoming people. (Yes, they're supposed to hurt.)

- No golden snitch, just a fly. That's right - a fly. A FLY! The golden snitch has nothing on a fly. Spray paint it gold for effect.

- Leather armour and helmets. I fully expect this sport to be hard, so people need protection. Plus leather braces look hot.
