I personally beleive we were created by God. The world and its inhabitants are too complex to be an accident and I beleive it was God created us because i'm a christian. |

Personally i would go on the side of evolution. If there is a God how do you know that he or she didn't start off the process of evolution. Somebody may have mixed the primordal soup. _________________ Don't Ask Me I Just Work Here!!! |

I believe in Evolution because that's what makes the most scientific sense. But who started of the process? God? Some higher power? We don't know!
Plus the whole Adam & Eve story scares me _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

i prefer evolution caus the bible version would imply that we are the most inbred race ever and is a direct violation of christian rules in that we would be fornicating with family members...such contradictions _________________ You want ants!? That's how you get Ants! |

well the problem with evolution is, untill the "missing link" is found the chain of events is broken. This is what it hard for me to beleive in evolution.
Oh And about the incest, The Bible never says that Adam and Eve were the only people that he made. So when Cain went to Knol (not sure if thats spelled right) he could have found another group of people that were either in a Garden of Eden and cast out or maybe God made them after Adam and Eve were cast away. Although I am not denying that incest may have taken place between Cain and one of his sisters (the Bible never mentions sisters). |

Yes I always found the "incest" part of the creationist theory interesting, especially when Adam & Eve only had two sons and no daughters. Gay incest, how shocking! _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

Guess what? the creation chain of events runs very parallel to the evolutionary chain of events. The biggest difference IMHO is the difference between scientific and theological symbolic ways of communicating.
As for Adam and Eve, Genesis says Cain went to another land and took a wife. No where does the Bible state that Adam and Eve were the ONLY two. If you want to get buggered about incest try to figure out how the earth was repopulated after the flood. _________________

Yeah there would be incest between cousins after the flood because each of Noah's sons had a wife that were taken onto the ark so there would have to be incest there. |

well that is a good answer. I mean I have no reason not to beleive in evolution except that I am christian. And i'm sure thats the way many people fell about evolution. Evolution is like a religion |

I believe that because I don't really have any beliefs in god. So I feel we evolved over time. _________________ Some people are like Slinkies .....Not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Why do people in the Bible and old stories only ever have sons and not daughters? _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com
