Inspired by Gamers post about the "joys" of school, I thought it would be interesting to see which you preferred - school or work?

Can't really vote here as I haven't had any experience in working. Give it a few weeks (that's when I'll be on work experience)

Aye but some jobs you have to take work home with you. Also you're at school for about 5 hours a day but at work for 8 hours. Plus you get bloody loads of holidays from school but at work you get about 4 weeks if you're lucky.

There's things that are good and bad about both. School you don't get paid, work you do. Work for long hours, school is shorter. etc. etc.

EMA ??? Shocked

There was no bloody thing as EMA when I were a lad!

In my day, you went to school to learn... it seems the yoof of today wont do anything without being offered money... Rolling Eyes - don't know you're born...

This has become a repeating rant of mine

When I left junior school to go to secondary school, I just 'left'

My brother, had a 'valedictory'

The school put on a disco for his year. Then a few days later they had a presentation with all the parents there, where each pupil was given a bible, a thesaurus and a dictionary. Where was my bloody disco, bible, thesaurus and dictionary? - why didn't I get any of that ? Evil or Very Mad

If there was a choice for me, today to go to school (and get paid Rolling Eyes while doing it) to just sit there and listen to some person drone on about something or other for an hour or so, I'd know which option id take...
