With the release of the Final Bourne film, which do you prefer and why? James Bond or Jason Bourne?
My money is on Bourne, he's far cooler, tougher, gritter and has purpose in life! Bond is a wimp in comparison! _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I haven't seen any of the Bourne films so until I do I'm gonna have to say Bond. I've seen Casino Royal and I think it's brilliant. _________________

I've not seen any of the Bourne films either. But I don't like to make judgements until I've heard ( or in this case seen) it from both angles _________________ I should update my sig. What to put here for $CurrentYear ? |

I haven't seen any Bourne and no Bond since Live and Let Die. I vote for Danger Man. Cool without being corny. |

Bond - so much classier, better gadgets, lasted longer (20 films to choose from & still going!), better actors (Sean Connery & Pierce Brosnan brat Matt Daemon any day! Can't take Daemon seriously since watching Team America!) _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~

I must have missed this when I lost my connection. If any one knows of a forum protocol where members can do a no shit search for "posts I have not visited never mind when I last signed in" I wish we'd look into going with it. This is nuts finding neato stuff a year and a half old.
Anyway I half reluctantly said Bourne. Rach is right, Bond is a class act and longest lasting. But, and this is crucial, so few people can carry Sean Connery's water it would be better if the legacy of 007 were passed to a protégé say a Jason Bourne instead of getting greasers like the most recent Bond. _________________

I just find Bond films so dull! Go Bourne! He's got that edge! _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I forgot about good old Jack! He rules! He really isn't afraid to break the rules a little (you know, killing, kidnapping, torturing etc) to get the bad guys! I'd love to have him as my bodyguard! I'll lend you the DVDs. _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

@ minty - I love Jack Bauer, he is the all American action hero
Although I never mentioned John McLane from the Die Hard films
@ aalpha - Bond is so much better. I still dislike Daniel Craig. I liked him better after Quantum of Solace than I did after Casino Royale. I still prefer the old Bonds better - Connery, Moore and Brosnan all the way! Dalton was pretty good too. _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~

Ahhh, that was him, the most of 24 I've ever seen what this episode that I read...

Ahhh he was always good as well, just he seemed to be a bit of a disaster zone... Should an action hero always appear to be 'together' or should his life outside his professional life be falling apart to make them seem more human ?
