Good on em I say. Always a good idea to keep an open mind and not be afraid to change what you think. _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I'm impressed that they are the first religion to be able to find the 'get out clause' in their infallible scriptures that allows them to change what they believe in as befits the situation.
Good to see they aren't as stubborn as other people.

Ok, it's taken them 400 years to catch up to where everyone else is, but i'm happy to see they are starting to move again with the times. People such as Galileo and Bruno are the type of people we need more of to help us develop new ideas and theories to help us prosper, stomping on people only turns them into the downtrodden and you exclude their ideas from being heard. Growth cannot happen and everything becomes stagnant.
I'm sure we had a thread about the pope saying sorry to Galileo for how they treated him, think Rach pointed out that they should of said sorry to Bruno as well. _________________ I should update my sig. What to put here for $CurrentYear ? |

Sometimes, admitting you were wrong is a brave and very hard thing to do. So Kudos to them. _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com
