I think it's time to get this topic discussed Very Happy (i tried a search and didnt find it in previous threads so i hope i didnt miss anything)

How many Apple addicts do we have here? PC's? This is the place for the great debate. I don't know enough about apples yet for a steady argument, but I will soon enough. In the meantime I would love to see other views. Which do you prefer and why?

I love my PC, but Macs have advantages too. So I will stick with PC for now. PC's are very universal, which opens up the doors for viruses, etc., but it is very easy to work on them and also easy to use (except when with Vista, but I'll leave that for another thread some time)

Have fun with it!

That's like saying, cars can crash into lampposts so it's better taking the bus.

If people actually took precautions this wouldn't happen. Running as a restricted user for a start would help etc - using a decent AV ( NOD32, Avira etc )

Nevermind, if you drive responsibly, put your seat belt on and think before you act you'll not have this problem.

Saying System X is more resistant or more stable than System Y needs a good kick.

Anyway to answer your question, PC for me.

Because it's apt

i dont get viruses on my PC...ever.....as far as what macs are good for....well....umm...good for paperweights? maybe buying really expensive software to do some good work with video or sound? PCs can do that too. IDK, i guess im just giving our mac users the benefit of the doubt lol. just like i said i dont know enough about them. i dont really want to for play, but just out of curiosity to be able to conversate about them if i must.

I've never owned or used a Mac so my preference is not based on any kind of fair minded comparison. PC is what I know.

Although, Apple's iPod and iTunes for PC does make the world a much better place. pfft, like there's somewhere else to go. . . .

You don't need to, just look at the type of people who use Apple products.

Well, there you go

There are many other portable MP3 players about. Creative's Zen for example.

Amazon do MP3 downloads.

I fail to see the problem?

I work at a printers so there is a daily 'Mac V PC' debate. The Studio use macs and the Admin and Production use PCs. So as a matter of professiona principle, I'm going stick firmly in the PC camp. Plus there's nothing than a Mac can do that I PC can't.
