Some have suggested that rape is as much sexual as hitting some one with a baseball bat is baseball, or hitting them with a frying pan is cooking. They see it as an act of violence regardless of the weapon being a penis, bat, or pan.
To a significant amount I see their point, it *is* more an act of violence than a sex act. I guess this guy couldn't find a suitable club so he used the next best thing, no pun intended.

So his fists weren't available then?
Much better reach ( in range and what you can hit ) , much more leverage, bone content improving their solidity...
