I participated in the Wycombe Wander Midnight Walk last night. Was a 12.5 mile walk to raise money for South Bucks Hospice & Scanappeal. Was quite a tough walk as we had a few hills to walk up & down but I thorougly enjoyed it.

Just thought I would share this with you all Smile

How exciting! I wanna go! What time did you finish? Were you read for bed?

I have heard of 'night skydiving'... I'm not really sure how that works as you have no idea were the ground is!

Grats!

I've always wanted to do the Lyke Wake Walk

http://www.lykewake.org/route.php

40 mile hike over Yorkshire Hills in the dead of night. Awesome fun Very Happy

So how about that for next year? Very Happy

I read the very last passage :

Quote:

The photographs on this page are cropped and reduced versions of three of the 170 high-definition photographs on the Lyke Wake Walk CD, and are copyright © 2004 Challenge Publications and are used by permission, as is the extract from the Lyke Wake Walk Souvenir Sketch Map. More details on how to buy these on our things to buy page.

And when I read the CD bit my brain automatically told me that the people who have just done the walk will now have it 'on cool down'.

Blimey 12.5 miles was hard enough...

One walk I want to do is the 'Coast-to-coast' walk:

When I went up to North Yorks last month, there were loads of people doing it - it looked like a lot of fun!

I would love to either walk coast to coast along Hadrian's Wall http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/hadrianswall/ or do an Inn Way walk (essentially a very long pub crawl) http://www.innway.co.uk/ one day...

I like the looks of the pub walk. The peak district looked especially yummy - 6 days 51 pubs. That's almost 9 per day Wink
