I could have sworn we had a thread like this a while back but I can't find it anywhere, so I am making a new one.
What are you guys reading at the moment? Would you recommend it to anyone?
I am currently reading the Courier's Tale by Peter Walker http://www.bloomsbury.com/Books/details.aspx?isbn=9781408810422 - its about the life of a follower of Reginald Pole, who was exiled from England in the reign of Henry VIII for telling Henry the truth about his divorce from Catherine of Aragon. As a result the courier is also exiled. It tells the story of one important person, and one less historically famous person during the turbulent reigns of Henry VIII, Edward VI and Mary. I am really enjoying it, it is very interesting to see the period through the eyes of an ordinary person. _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~

I am currently making my way through George RR Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series - finished Game of Thrones and about half way through the second book 'A Clash of Kings' - I am loving them! So many interesting characters, and you really feel for the characters, some you wish you could help, some you really want to see fail. I really recommend these books! _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~

Thanks for the recommendation Rach - I'll give The Game of Thrones a read before I watch the TV series.
I've just finished reading Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and am now onto the Sequal - Resturant at the End of the Universe

Much recommended if you need a giggle _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I always try to read the book before I watch the tv or film adaptation. That way I know the story as it was intended before I see the shortened/adapted version. I am really enjoying the books and I will get round to ordering the tv series at some point. I hope it will match up to my expectations from the books. But it has Sean Bean in so it can't fail to be awesome - yaay for Sean Bean _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~
