I don't know if anyone remember me, I haven't been here in a very long time. So much has changed since I visited here.
Today I was on Facebook cleaning my friend list and one of the girls I met here is a friend of mine on Facebook as well. I saw her name ans thought to myself, "I wonder why she hasn't been around". When I went to her page to leave a post to say hello...I was surprised by what I found there. her name is Carolyn Mutchler, not sure what her name was on here, as it has been so long since I posted here. Anyway, to the point; I learned that she had passed away 3 years ago. That brought a tear to my eye. I didn't know her well, however what I had learned was that she was so very sweet.
Do you find it as difficult as I do, to delete a friend you met online in a forum or other social sites? What is your opinion on keeping them or deleting them after death?
Hello to those who do remember me. I had to Google for several minutes just to find this forum again. (new computer 2 years ago) Remembering my sign in name and password...took a lot longer. |

*hugs* hope you are ok
Perhaps keep her memory alive by not deleting her? I think that's what I'd do. _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

Thank you Helen. I am sad that she passed. I have been searching old posts to find out what her sign in name was on here. No luck yet. I am going to keep her account alive. Her family and friends have been going to her wall to post that they wished she was here and what is new in their lives. It is so enlightening that someone can leave us and we might not even know it. that makes me want to stay in touch with those whom I have met in life as well as online. _________________ "When all else fails, smile" |

I've already posted a 'I REMEMBER YOU' post somewhere else in one of your posts ( because I remember you )
I did think that my dying words would be 'Tell Helen so she can tell my raid group'
So I actually post something relevant to this thread, have an XKCD

I am glad I was not forgotten. That is such a delight. I know the feeling of not being able to delete certain friends that are made online. I have a few I have not heard from in so long..but I will just keep them in place. it is so good to be back here. _________________ "When all else fails, smile" |
