I'm thinking of doing a series on so-called "offensive ads" with a poll & discussion. We often hear about ads being banned or criticised (and they are the one's which actually produced. I'd love to see the one's which never actually get made and would cause a real stir).
Anyway, if you can think of ads which might make a good discussion, please start a new thread and link to the ad.
So for my first one:
Hot Schoolgirl

It may be just me but it has to be very blatant hardcore to be what I call shocking or terribly offensive. I have a bit of a problem with "media" doing anything that focuses on girls who are by definition "girls" not women as if they are mature adults, on the one hand, on the other hand I know the halls at school are full of little tarts who can (do) run rings around Mummy with their eyes closed so who's kidding who? I'd like to see advertisers be more responsible but then the "judging" group needs to wake up, too. I'd vote to pull the ad - no need to make things worse. _________________

I opened that in another tab of Firefox, and saw the tab called Kello... - I didn't have to read anymore, that tab wasn't loading ( I was going to make sure of that!) so shut it down
As for the thread...
I've seen worse in film trailers ( which are supposed to advertise the film )
Isn't the recently released film, St Trinian's based on the 'naughty' image that the school always had?
Meh, some Politically Correct moaning Minnie jobsworth getting in the way, that goes to the 2 people ( at time of posting ) who thought it was offensive.
I've seen worse in a Freemans catalogue _________________ I should update my sig. What to put here for $CurrentYear ? |

You've just gotta love the fact that 3.5million people read it, but because only 13 (a very tiny proportion) complained they are talking of banning it, but the rest of the 3.5million surely had no complaint about it _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~

I say kudos to the airline for snubbing the "watchdog" but I still say it's a valid complaint not to link kids with adult sexuality. Judging from other ad images of theirs there's no shortage of adult women to sell their flights. _________________
