I can as I usually forget what has happened, particular if it was a while ago.
I'm actually re-reading Terry Pratchett's Last Continent _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I could easily re-read books. I also forget what happens in books I've read. _________________ Some people are like Slinkies .....Not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

I only said No! Never! only because it's nearly impossible for me to get through a book once; not that I'm against reading it twice.
I either fall asleep or the subject doesn't interest me enough to stay with it. Usually the writer has to "flair" or otherwise strut their literary style and I get bored with that.
I hate being that way too. _________________

Yea sometimes when I read it the second time I read it more slowly so I can catch it all. And if it's a good book why not?! Plus I often wonder to myself "What happened in that book?" So I re-read it to find out. _________________

*hugs* I'm the same too.
Up until very recently, if I started a book, I had to finish it. However, I have started two different books but I've had to stop them and read something else as the story, the style didn't 'flow' with me, I couldn't get into the book. I will come back to them one day but to be honest, I don't find much time to read books these days so in between reading 'sessions' I forget what's happening and who's who and it stresses me out! *cries* _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I can't unless it's something exceptionally good and unique. Usually a series where I've begun to feel connected to the characters somehow. |
