Despite sounding almost like The Outer Limits

It has nothing to do with that.
Unable to come up with anything new, Hollywood is taking its lead from the music industry and just churning up older films that they hope people would of forgotten by now.
One of these films they want to remake is my all time favourite film The Neverending Story.

I went to see it when I was 6 years old at the cinema with my mum and now they want to remake it ?
While the special effects will no doubt be much better ( one of the reasons why I don't want to watch it again for fear of ruining my memories of it ) I feel that there are films that shouldn't be remade again.
The sequels that were made for this film were horrific, and I fear they will only go and ruin anything good that anyone remembers about it with a 'remake of the original based on the book*'
What films, do you think they shouldn't remake ?
In closing

Well this isn't exactly a remake of an old movie but it is a new slant on an old and familiar topic around here.
Go see.
Check out the trailers. _________________

There's a naked man in that video!!!!
Definitely, they should not re-make The Neverending Story. Sure the film looks a bit old now and they special effects are, well, special but there's magic and memories there!
Out of interest, the actor who played Atreyu now runs a tattoo shop (and looks very punkish) and the boy who played Bastian now teaches photography.
One of my favourite childhood films, Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory was remade by Tim Burton who I think did a rather good job of it.
A question for everyone, why does it appear that only the good films get re-made? Why not remake the rubbish ones and do a better job second time around?

See, I refused to see the new Willy Wonka film. I loved the original, and nobody can replace Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, I don't care how much I like Johnny Depp in most other contexts.
Not sure I can think of any other remakes atm, need sleep before I can think of anything tbh! _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~

He's done a few things then! - last time I looked into what he was doing, he was talking about running his own motorbike shop, was a few years ago now though.

So any film by Ewe Boll... Sorry, Uwe Boll.
Actually, any film that was crap first time around I would actually watch again in the belief it might be better this time around. _________________ I should update my sig. What to put here for $CurrentYear ? |
