It's that horrible time of year again where you are forced to buy crappy presents that the person wont like and that you can't afford! Yes, I'm very bah humbug!
So how's your Christmas shopping? Are you good and have done it all already or are you waiting until Christmas eve?
I've bought a few things from Amazon and Play.com but that's about it. _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I started on Wednesday, have half done already! My main reason for trying to finish most of it before December has started is because I hate shops when you can't move. _________________

Ditto.
I am not claustrophobic by the classic definition but I hate being jammed in with people elbow to elbow.
The wife and I do 99 percent of our Christmas shopping on the web.
You will not find me anywhere near a Mall during the holidays. The energy is entirely to frenetic for my liking.
I like it out here in the forest !

I've only got one present so far.
As for the Malls I love to watch other people, "The Greatest Show on Earth" as my Dad calls it. The part that will end me up on the 11 o'clock news is the road traffic.
{I snipped the rest of this post to make a new topic as it led to a rant that had nothing to do with shopping per se.} _________________

Ok here's a question for you, is it a cop out to buy gift vouchers or give money? It kinda says 'I can't be bothered to think what you'd want' but it does mean the person can actually choose something useful that they actually like and it wont get put into a back of a cupboard somewhere. _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

Nope it's not a cop out! I'd prefer to get a gift voucher or money so I can buy something I would actually use/wear/etc. _________________

Not a cop out at all. Now that they have $X amount Visa gift cards it's even better. Now the recipient isn't limited to *1* and only 1 retailer. They can go anywhere. It's better than chocolates. Yes. Much better. _________________
