indeed they do, and a lot of ISPs use traffic shaping to make torrent downloads crawl whether legal or not... - so software like uTorrent has features like protocol encryption to stop your ISP snooping..
but even with encryption turned on, your torrent client is still talking to the tracker, so as soon as a tracker gets raided, then the cops have potentially records of all IP addresses linked to files - nothing is anonymous on the internet so you are not safe...! |
