Have you ever been to see a film in 3D? What did you think?
I went to see Alice in Wonderland yesterday in 3D (I've wasted two hours of my life which I'll never get back) . I thought it was pretty pointless and gimmicky. And the bloody glasses pissed me off! I still have a mark on my nose from them.
Apparently they are introducing a 3D home system. Can't imagine that working - would you want to buy one and sit at home with stupid classes on? _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I'm trying to decide whether being talked into going to see Titanic ( which was 4 bloody hours long and I was being ignored when I told them how it was going to end... if you didn't know, it sank ) beats only 2 hours of film watching, but being left with a big dent on my nose.
No, I haven't seen a 3d film, though that might be because I felt it wouldn't actually be 3d until they had some for of projection system setup...
Either way, with just that opening post

I have not been to one as of yet, though I must admit that Avatar has stirred my interest.
I wonder how many years it is in the future when Games, movies etc,
will be presented through a holographic experience. Now THAT would be wild.

My husband & I saw Avatar 3D which we both thought was very very good, we also saw Ice Age 3 3D as well which was also very good. The 3D effects worked very well for both of these films. _________________ Some people are like Slinkies .....Not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

A guy my husband works with built his own 3D tv that you didn't need glasses for. _________________ Some people are like Slinkies .....Not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
