With the same people, sounds enough to drive anyone up the wall. But it would seem that these people did this voluntarily.

Would you volunteer to be locked away for 18 months in a sealed container with no windows and have only e-mail contact with the outside world?
Six men - three Russians, two Europeans and a Chinese man - have agreed to do just that in a project that will try to simulate a mission to the Red Planet.

it's probably better than being stuck indoors with just one person, despite being the best of friends when you went in you may end up not liking them at all.
It will be interesting to see how they all cope and what they get up to during their 'flight'. _________________ I should update my sig. What to put here for $CurrentYear ? |

I'd think I'd go crazy! If you have an argument (or do a really smell fart), it's as if you can go for a walk to let the heat cool! _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I would have to pass on this one. I would probably be a raving , claustrophobic
lunatic by the end of a couple of weeks. Too much lack of freedom of movement.

Yeah same here. I mean, it's not like you've even got the ability to look out the window and see Mars ( or Earth on the return trip ) actually approaching?

I never thought of a joke right there in front of me, I must be losing my touch
Though yes, i'd imagine it'd just be like any other confined space... ...like a lift

If I were taking part in this simulation, I think a lot of my experience of it would be determined by the other people involved - if I got on with them well and they were interesting the time could fly by, but if we didn't get on or if we had little in common or they had little to say, it would become quite stressful or boring to be locked up with just them for company.
I think not being able to go anywhere would drive me mad. I am frustrated enough with my limited mobility due to being on crutches, so I can't imagine how badly I would cope with being locked up for months without being able to go outside or have a walk! _________________ ~~~I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minuite of it!~~~
