Had gone out with friends the day before ( casino in Hull )
My actual birthday I went out for a meal with family. Which was fun
Well, I had fun, as both my sister and brother now have children. Take 2 2 year olds and 2 newborns to a public place like a restaurant, and watch the chaos unfold as everyone else tries to maintain some semblance of order and then when food arrives try to get them to actually eat it, complete with them constantly trying to get back down from the table so they could go back to running round in circles.
2 year old : down
Their dad : Eat your tea
2 year old : down
Their dad : Shall we get you ready for bed?
2 year old : No
Their dad : Eat your tea
2 year old : down
Their dad : Want to go in the car?
2 year old : No
Their dad : Eat your tea then
2 year old : down
Their dad : Not until you've finished your tea
Realising they are fighting a losing battle, this eventually becomes, 'when everyone else has finished' which still doesn't stop said 2 year old from breaking free anyway which means they have to be fished out from behind the table.
Repeat above conversation
I of course just sat in the corner eating my tea. _________________ I should update my sig. What to put here for $CurrentYear ? |

Happy b-day Minty.
As Jimmy Buffet said in a song : " Years grow shorter not longer, the more you've been on your own ".
I can personally vouch for that one. especially since I retired from ATC.
On my 40th, my sister sent a card with a note at the bottom which said:
"Welcome to your declining years "
Gee..... thanks sis.
Have a good day.

They grow shorter regardless though?
When I was like single digit years old, the next thing like my birthday or Christmas were always 'years' away.
As you get older they appear to pass with increasing rapidity

When I was off work for about 4 months once, by the end of it I was thinking to myself 'I don't know how I found time to go to work'.
I think so long as you busy yourself, you'll be fine

Uh, just how old is our priceless Minty. I ask because I know the rest of you just luuuuvvvvvv to tell these things about yourselves.
I don't know but I've been told that if 40 is the old age of youth, 50 is the youth of old age.
Let me know what you find old buddy. . . _________________

I approximate Mintbooger being between 31 & 34. Pretty sure he had his 30th birthday in his A51 years.
