What operating system do you use on your computer? Do you like it - does it have any benefits/problems compared to others? Would you recommend it to others?
I'm currently using Vista and I reckon that every copy should be shot into space, never to be seen again..... As a Christmas present to myself, I'm going to but Windows 7! _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I have Windows 7 on my laptop, but i have vista on my desktop (my xp wont activate anymore ). I like 7 much better than Vista, but wish I could go back to XP. i have 7 ultimate so it's got all the bells and whistles. It boots faster and responds faster than vista and i think that i will be happy with it going forward. My favorite for the longest time, though, was windows 98SE. I loved that OS. then XP came out and I hated it for a while and preferred 2000 pro over it, but then i got over it and had fun with XP _________________ Keyboard not connected, press F1 to continue. |

Just reformatted my laptop with a three-partition dual-boot. sda1 has Vista, sda2 is a shared ntfs with data and sda3 (extended partition) has Ubuntu 10.10 on it.
It's so freakin' awesome. Barring total hard-drive failure, my data is epicly safe.

If I install it, I'll be doing so over Ubuntu. Any reason I should bother?
I know, I like the logo tbh
