Our beloved government plans to measure the happiness of the people.
So what do you reckon they should measure. How do they measure it? _________________ Helen, the Administratrix of www.area51newmexico.com

I heard they are intending to use a new electronic device nicknamed the happyometer which your local GP will use and send feedback to the government.. |

Personally I don't think so. However, I do believe that indicators of happiness can be measured. Just you can't then take an average of all of them and call it an overall happiness measurement.

There are certain 'real time' indicators such as 'the price of my train ticket went up' 'Having time spent with friends' or just 'it's a friday'
But then there could be longer term proposals such as how your future is shaping up, job prospects. Though granted other things may be harder to measure such as 'what perks you have at work'. _________________ I should update my sig. What to put here for $CurrentYear ?
